Makoko Health project on WiGRadio

Approximately 3.2 billion people are at risk of malaria. In 2015, there were an estimated 214 million malaria cases and some 438 000 malaria deaths. Young children, pregnant women and non-immune travellers from malaria-free areas are particularly vulnerable to the disease when they become infected. Malaria can be avoided, all we need is adequate knowledge. No wonder the bible says that “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. (Hos 4:6)

On Saturday, 28th May 2016, LOVE INITIATIVE, a Non Governmental organisation is organising an Health campaign for the residents of Makoko Community. In addition to raising awareness about Malaria, Free mosquito nets would also be distributed. You can be a part of this project which holds from 7:00am to 10:00am.

For more information, please visit LOVE INITIATIVES website. This Malaria Health campaign will be live on WiGRadio and would also be recorded by WiGTV
