Psalms 29:2 – Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Worship is an intense admiration for a body. Worship is total surrender.
Worship is basking in the splendor of the beauty of a thing or body.
Worship is appreciation. It is not just singing slow songs and raising hands. Worship is a heartfelt praise to God. It is celebrating His awesomeness. It is the acceptance of His supremacy over all.
Worship is subjecting yourself to a supreme character. Worship is adoration. Worship is exultation.
We worship what we know. We know God as we are His sons and daughters.
Worship is celebration. We celebrate what we know. We know that He is the Almighty.
Worship is service. We serve what we know. We serve a living God. The consuming fire!
Use what you have to serve. Use what you have to worship Him. Serve God aright. Worship God aright.
Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
However, God will not force you to worship Him.3
Worship is honour. Honour the Lord with all you have. Honour Him with your time, your talent, your treasure and your body. He gave you all things; therefore, nothing should be too big for you to give to Him. Worship therefore entails not withholding anything from God.
Romans 12:1 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.
The 24 elders we are told are praising God every moment. The angels in heaven also praise God continually.
Revelation 7:11…“And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,”
Why shouldn’t you then worship Him? Worship Him because you love Him. Worship Him for all He has done for you and for all He will do. Worship Him by Faith.
Worship is acknowledgement. Acknowledge the mightiness of God.
Worship is giving thanks.
Hebrews 13:15 – By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name.
However, some of us worship man more than we worship God. Some of us worship our Pastors more than we worship God. This is similar to idolatry. God is not pleased with such. Look at these:
Luke 4:8 – And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Revelation 19:10…“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: WORSHIP GOD: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
The Angel forbade John from giving him any form of worship and instead instructed him to worship God. God is the supreme deserving of our worship. Him alone!
Be a part of those that worship God at all times. Be a part of those that are true worshippers of God. Worship Him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:23 ,24- But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
This is a dispensation when true worship has become scarce. Christians now pay lip-service to God and do not worship Him from their heart. You don’t have to wait till Sunday before you can worship Him. Worship Him every day and at all times. You are His perfect temple and He dwells within you. Worship God with your heart and your substance. God will be pleased with you and you will receive His manifold blessings. Make true worship a lifestyle. Become a true worshipper today and Jehovah God will make ways for you.
