When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. (Proverbs 29 2)

This is the final verdict on human government particularly when not rooted in God. And it subtly shows us the power of the Kingdom of God.

We can say when God rules the people rejoice and this is because both in intent and in demonstrated capacity He is able to deliver good and banish evil to provide welfare and well-being to His subjects eternally in an ambience of justice and judgment.

The best a human governance system can do is to understand this and to try to work with such a template unselfishly to at least get the people smiling otherwise we shouldn’t expect much.

Meanwhile this will require understanding the dynamics of the Kingdom of God in leadership at all levels, from home leadership to corporate, to societal and to church leadership. One thing that the scriptures speak of is the phenomenon of self leadership as exemplified in the ant. I’m sure God wants us to learn a type of leadership from the ant.

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: 7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, 8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest (Proverbs 6:6 -8)

The leader is the one who would not have a guide, overseer or ruler, who will be expected to deliver under no superior leadership and such would need to learn the rules of self leadership to be able to lead others

Learning such means sitting down under God to learn how He rules His own Kingdom without a higher power nor checks and balances without abusing His privileges and copying such. It’s then we’ll be ready to lead others. That’s the only time we’ll be able to develop the kind of leadership system that may give joy to the heart of its people.
