He was less than three years old when it happened. He was playing in the house and walked across a door after which his body temperature began to rise and he got paralysed. By the time he recovered, he had lost the use of his two legs and he has not been able to walk since then.
The inspiring story of Femi Amosu Daniel is one that would throw anyone into a state of bewilderment. In a live interview on WiGRadio during the Program Praise and Passion hosted by Olawale Perfect and Korede Bams, he shared his recently released tracks “Jesus I believe in you” and “You saved me”.
When asked how he got inspiration the songs he explained how he came across a book titled “I believe in miracles” by Olawale Perfect. The book got to him at a time when his closest friend committed suicide. He got inspired to compose the song which is greatly blessing people across the world.
Don Moen, Frank Edward and Eben are his music role model. Despite the fact that he has a very awesome and amazing voice, he is determined to use that voice to serve God and not sing worldly or secular song.
He once contemplated suicide when he offered to serve in a church choir and he was told that he did not have what it takes simply because he was disabled in the leg. This got him really down but God’s grace helped him to stand up again and he is doing well today as one of the lead singers in the church he attends.
After leaving the orphanage where he was dumped several years ago, he has struggled to rise and take care of himself despite the many challenges facing him which is mostly financial. His cobbler job has not been the way he wanted it to be because he lack some of the basic equipment to scale ahead.
When asked his most important needs at this time, he mentioned three specific things
1. I want to inspire many people with my songs and draw people closer to God. He is therefore open to media management and invitation to churches to sing and bless lives
2. He would love to get basic equipment to scale up his cobbler business and get more patronage for his beautiful leather works
3. He would love to go back to school if he can get opportunity for sponsorship.
