IS GROWTH NEGOTIABLE?
A young girl asked her mom the reason she is called a girl and her mom is called a woman. Without much pressure, her mom responded that she was once a little girl, before she became a lady and eventually a full grown woman who can do anything she intends doing and no one would kick against it.
Furthermore, she said it took years and she has passed through a lot of processes that has moulded and built her mentality and manner to be who er daughter can see now.
Your life is what must grow, your indulgence is what must amplify positively, your speech is what must be edifying and your intelligence wise.
1Pet.2.2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.
Eccl.3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven.
No one happens to move from childhood as a result of sleeping to waking up the next morning an adult.
One of the growing strategy is that, you don’t learn to become matured, you grow into maturity. It’s not a thing to pray into, it’s not a thing to imitate, it’s a process and must be passed through.
A young disorganized lady who cannot cook or arrange the house, but expects everything to change when she gets married is not possible. Learning is an accumulated process and cannot be done away with.
1Cor.13.11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
No one grows outside his or her level of knowledge.
1Cor.14.20 Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.
Being in your twenties or early thirties doesn’t mark you for maturity, but the ability to exercise the needed wisdom for the current state, is maturity.
Ps.90.12 So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.
We tackle with the issue of maturity among ourselves today, not because we don’t count our age, but because we don’t apply our hearts to the wisdom we’ve learnt overtime to daily living.
Live in the moment, enjoy your process and don’t waste what the Lord has given you, be it your physique, your job, your marriage, your house etc. Moreso, grow well into maturity.
It’s natural to grow in stature, but it’s more important to grow well in wisdom.
