Let’s start with what you know about Christ. You probably know him as the saviour of the world or someone you grew up learning about in your environment. You don’t have a real experience with him, and that’s how you landed here. To know Christ is to know love. Christ is a depiction of love, and anyone who knows Him and shares a life with Him embodies love. (John 3:16)
Christ came to earth to redeem mankind from sin. He did this by dying on the cross- that was a sacrifice he had to make so that we would be free, and it was an act of love.
To know Christ is to know love. To know Christ is to love. To know Christ is to give love.
If you want to know Christ, you have to bear in mind that you must love sacrificially. You have to be willing to know Christ for you to experience a deeper relationship with Him. You also have to be ready because it is a life-long relationship, a sense of purpose, and a journey to eternal life.
How do I know Christ?
BELIEVE IN CHRIST
The first step is to believe in Christ as your Lord and Saviour. This entails accepting without doubt that Christ freed you from sin and believing that He died for you. (Gal2:20)

CONFESSION
Now that you have believed, you should confess your sins that you may dwell in God’s mercy. Confessing doesn’t mean you should start naming/calling all the sins you have committed or know of, but it means acknowledging that you are repentant and you now hate sin. It also means denouncing the devil and calling Jesus your own by speaking it out then believing you are righteous through Christ.

HOLYSPIRIT
But the comforter, which is the Holyghost which the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you. (John14:26)
You now have the Holy Spirit as you have believed and confessed. The Holy Spirit is the companion you need who will guide you to knowing Christ for yourself. He dwells inside you, and you need to communicate with Him constantly to know Christ. (1John2:27)
THE WORD OF GOD
The word of God is any word inspired by God. You can know the word of God by reading the Bible. The Bible is a blueprint filled with knowledge and the living word of God. The words written in it bring life to a lost soul and guide a willing soul. By steadily reading God’s word, you grow closer to knowing God. The more you read His word, the more you grow deeper in knowing Him. The Holy Spirit will guide you into understanding the word of God. Just ask Him.
PRAYER
Prayer happens when you have a conversation with God, and this is through the Holy Spirit because He lives in you. You talk to God and He speaks to you. It’s not just about talking, but waiting to hear from Him. Prayer can happen in the form of worship, praise, reverence, your thoughts and conversations with God. It’s a two-way communication – you talk to God and you wait to hear from Him.
