GOD’S GOT A TATTOO

691

Tatoos. Hmmm.

There’s a wonderful hymn I love to sing and is quite popular in the Christian community.

I was at a retreat recently at redemption camp. As soon as the hymn came up, the environment was charged. The hymn was sung by fellow retreaters with such vigour and deep conviction. It didn’t take so long for some to start rolling on the ground, while others jumped.

We got to the last stanza of the hymn and the vigor increased. As soon as we get to the fifth line, there was a geometric progression of excitement. Here are the lines that got people bubbly.

  • No power of hell, No scheme of men
Can ever pluck me from His hand.
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

The conviction was deep. You could feel it in the air.

Immediately, my spirit took over to imagine myself in the palm of God. Kept safely and securely. I also imagined someone trying to pluck me from his palm but God’s hands kept me securely. Almost immediately, my Spirit reminded me of a particular bible verse: ‘I have engraved you on the palm of my hands.’

I immediately searched for that scripture Is 49:16b. God tatooed my name on his palm. Yes. God has a tatoo of my name on His hand. An uneraseable one.

And like the hymn said, Nothing can pluck me from His hand. His tattoo is permanent. No matter what the devil tries, no matter what men do, nothing can pluck me or erase me from the hand of God.

While people’s voices remained loud in singing. Those last 4 lines were repeated severally. I didn’t jump or shout, I was busy with my spirit in analysing the gravity of this revelation. Joy overflowed in my soul that GOD’S GOT A TATTOO. HE TATOOED ME ON HIS PALM SUCH THAT NOTHING CAN ERASE ME.

Be glad and rejoice because nothing can take you away from God’s hands.

Oh yes. Before I forget.

The hymn: IN CHRIST ALONE.
You can google it, sing it and feed your spirit.

However, to get this privilege, you must have given your life to Christ and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour.

Remember to stay RAPTURABLE. Jesus loves you.

Shalom!
