A light could be burning and not shine, same way a believer can pray, get a prophesy concerning issues pertaining to him and not see the manifestation years after.
Jesus said you are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
He further went on to say that “no one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.” Jesus here is simply saying that your candle can be lighted and burning but kept under a table such that whoever comes in still come in to a dark room.
So how do you keep your light burning and shining? How do you prevent the activities of life from dimming your light? How do you burn and not burn faintly? How do you shine brightly?
